Consulting Services

The goal is to deliver the desired solution using the most appropriate technology at the best price. By engaging experienced industry professionals from the beginning, a project will benefit from focused goals, reliable budgets, and a way of measuring success. The Digital Signage Specialists at The Digital Signage Group are experienced industry professionals ready to help you make your project a success.

This is accomplished through an intensive discovery process where all aspects of the project are critically analyzed. From this analysis, a set of goals and requirements is developed and approved by the client.

In association with The Digital Signage Group affiliates, detailed recommendations are developed that include approximate pricing for equipment, software, installation, testing, training, and ongoing services and maintenance.

With this information, the project owner will have the tools needed to budget for the project and ongoing operations as well as plan deployment and necessary resources. The Digital Signage Group is also available to assist in the implementation and on-going operations phases of the project. The Digital Signage Group can provide full consulting services that provide customers with:

  • Detailed outlines of software features from the leading manufacturers along with a recommendation based on the project’s requirements.
  • Configuration cost analysis on various installation scenarios (e.g. use of existing infrastructures, expansion costs and recommendations, and/or new infrastructures used specifically for an independent signage network).
  • Case study analysis based on similar projects and analysis of what worked and what didn’t.
  • Information on new and emerging technologies which may not be part of the traditional product lineup used in today’s Digital Signage deployments.

Call The Digital Signage Group to find out what we can do for you.  Sample “Findings and Recommendations” and “Scope of Work” documentation is available upon request.

Client Services

Content Creation Services
Successful content for digital signage networks is more than just repurposed television advertising or training materials.  Our content partners recognize that to stand out, content has to be well targeted and on message in such a way that the target consumer will stop and take notice.  Digital signage networks have the potential to increase sales, raise awareness, or otherwise motivate people but only if the message is correctly positioned and delivered.  The Digital Signage Group has partnered with the best, most experienced, and most innovative content creators in the business.

Content Management
Content management software is the brains of a digital signage system.  Using this software the signage system operator determines what will be displayed, when it will be displayed and how it will be displayed.  Depending on the software, it can include everything from scheduling, screen layout, equipment monitoring and operation, playback reporting, integration with external systems, and content delivery.

Some content management software is modular; some of it is made specifically for a single vendor’s media player.  The variations are almost unlimited.  The Digital Signage Group keeps up with the latest software products available and is ready to make choosing the right software easier.

Content Hosting and Distribution
Should you decide to outsource your content hosting and delivery systems, The Digital Signage Group partners and affiliates offer a broad range of possibilities. Often this can be a temporary resource and can be transferred back to the owners of the project once they have established their own distribution infrastructure.

The Digital Signage Group affiliates offer a wide range of hosting and distribution capabilities and flexible solutions.

Wide Area Connectivity
Building a digital signage network requires a network.  If it covers more than one location, it is called a wide area network or WAN.  Sometimes there is an existing network that can carry the digital signage traffic but there are challenges with using an existing network including load balancing, security, and management.  Sometimes it is easier to build a network specifically for the signage system but which kind?  DSL or cable networks are good but require a lot of management resources.  Satellite might be a good alternative but the return path might be an issue.

The Digital Signage Group and its affiliate partners are experts in recommending, implementing and supporting network communications between geographically separated locations.  The Digital Signage Group’s Digital Signage Experts are fluent in the use of combinations of best value and highest performance solutions, and have a full complement of products and delivery systems available through their affiliate network.

Local Area Connectivity
The local area network or LAN might seem simple at first but can quickly become a challenge.  There are a number of ways to get the image to the display including wireless and wired data networks, wireless and wired AV networks, or system that use existing wiring.  There is no single solution and every location might require different technologies.

The Digital Signage Group has multiple options to fit your requirements and is ready to help you solve your local area networking challenges.

Network Monitoring
Networks are, for the most part, very reliable and operate in the background without much work from the average user.  Looks are deceiving, though, because to create that appearance, a lot of dedicated people are in the background keeping it all working.  The cost of keeping it running can quickly become too much for the average digital signage network operator.  Network downtime can turn your dynamic signage into blank screens.

The Digital Signage Group has the answer.  We have partnered with the best network operations companies in the country.  24/7 active monitoring, help desk, and on-site service is available to ensure that your system stays operational.

National Installation

Their portfolios include the simplest delivery and installation of a single display to the most complex and sensitive medical equipment.

Relationships like this are built over time and experience. The Digital Signage Group’s partners have proven and continue to improve their delivery and integration standards and practices with fierce dedication to guaranteeing flawless execution.

Video, Audio and Data Components
Everyone in the systems integration world knows that the interconnection devices (the “glue”) are what make most installations work.  Video and audio amps and switches, cables, mounts, racks – all of it is available from The Digital Signage Group.  The Digital Signage Group’s Digital Signage Experts and engineers will ensure your project hardware, software and networks function perfectly and arrive on time with all necessary installation components.

Whether it is a sensor and compatible cabling to a switch for live camera, or a triggered ceiling drop for a large venue projector, or cables and clamps to hold a 300” diagonal projection screen securely above a crowded mall or convention center, The Digital Signage Group can provide mounting and interconnect solutions to complete your digital signage project.
